Weekend Haikus

We are together
until stares cut us apart.
Where do moments go?

Beauty makes me cry,
From happiness, and terror
for when it will die.

I see his past’s smiles.
If I saw his face today,
What would be left there?

The future scares me.
Don’t see myself in it, but
Don’t know how to leave.

And now, you are here.
His ghost behind you, staring
at me, at us, there.
